Sausage Country Gravy (can be made vegan)

This is my favorite gravy to go with my favorite biscuit recipe! You can find the biscuit recipe here. Serves 6-8 people. Takes 10 mins to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 cups non dairy milk (i use oatly oat milk)
  2. 4 TB cornstarch OR arrowroot powder dissolved into 1/4 cup more non dairy milk
  3. 1/4 tsp garlic
  4. 1/2 tsp pepper
  5. 1 tsp salt
  6. 1 tsp onion powder
  7. 1214 oz cooked sausage of any kind, optional (we like using applegate)

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients including your cooked meat together into a small pan and heat on medium heat.
  2. Stir occasionally till mixture boils and thickens.
  3. Take off heat after 2-3 mins of boiling.
  4. Enjoy with these homemade biscuits!
