- 2–3 lbs fresh green beans (trimmed)
- 1 lb bacon (cut into small pieces)
- 3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and trim green beans. Pat completely dry.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy.
- Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
- Add green beans to the skillet and toss in the bacon grease.
- Cook 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and blistered.
- Add garlic and cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return bacon to the pan and stir well.
- Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Serve hot.
