Green Beans with Bacon

Ingredients

  • 23 lbs fresh green beans (trimmed)
  • 1 lb bacon (cut into small pieces)
  • 34 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim green beans. Pat completely dry.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy.
  4. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
  5. Add green beans to the skillet and toss in the bacon grease.
  6. Cook 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and blistered.
  7. Add garlic and cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  8. Return bacon to the pan and stir well.
  9. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  10. Serve hot.
