Vegan Egg Nog

Growing up, my family made 25 gallons of egg nog every Christmas for a family Christmas event. Since being dairy and egg free, I so dearly missed that yearly tradition. After so many failed attempts, I finally made a vegan recipe that reminds me of the good ole recipe we used to have. Serves 1 gallon.

  • Yield: 1 Gallon 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 8 cups (1 half gallon) oat or other unsweetened plant based milk, of choice
  2. 3/4 cup sugar
  3. 4 TB cornstarch
  4. 2 TB nutmeg
  5. 1 TB cinnamon
  6. 4TB vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. On Medium temp, heat on medium temp and whisk the mixture till no clumps.
  2. Right before it comes to a boil take off heat and place in containers in the fridge to drink cold. Serve with non-dairy whipped cream.
